Mercury Insurance Open

With the contacts and reputation I made stringing at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden over the years, I won the bid to be the on-site stringer at the Mercury Insurance Open at La Costa in 2012. Here I am in the stringing area, which is a converted hotel room. The door to my right leads to a balcony that overlooks center court.

Not shown in this photo is the desk for the practice courts, which was run by Tom Fey and Adam Jasick from the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. It made for a tight fit, but what a great time we had.

We did the stringing for all the players, including Anne Keothavong, Benjamin Cassaigne, Bethanie Mattek-Sands, Camila Giorgi, Chanelle Scheepers, Christina McHale, Daniela Hantuchova, Diego Ayala, Dominika Cibulkova, Erika Sema, Hao-Ching Chan, Irena Pavlovic, Jarmila Gajdosova, Jessica Pegula, Kai-Chen Chang, Marina Erakovic, Megan Moulton-Levy, Melanie Oudin, Melinda Czink, Michelle Larcher de Brito, Nadia Petrova, Rika Fujiwara, Sai-Sai Zheng, Sania Mirza, Sarah Stone, and Urszula Radwanska.
